New in '09 - Reid Plantation Garden
In the 1800's, it was pretty common to have a small garden near the kitchen. Keith Loflin has researched to find out what varieties of plants were common in those days - and has planted them at the Reid Plantation here at the FarmPark. Here is a list of herbs you'll see - along with some tomatoes, corn, okra, peas, beans and more.
All the plants are growing pretty well, but only the herbs are ready for harvest. He expects this to be a late garden.

Eddie Miles to Perform July 2, 2009 at Southeast Old Threshers Reunion
When word got out that we were going to have Eddie Miles, our phones lit up like a Christmas tree. Husbands were calling to purchase tickets for their wives. Women were calling to confirm they could see 2 shows for $13. My what a fan club! So he's going to be performing at 3 and 8 p.m. on July 2. Tickets are $13 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Preschoolers are free.

Sept. 25-27, 2008 - FarmPark Bluegrass Festival
We've got a terrific line-up of great bluegrass entertainers coming in September. Here's the schedule - http://www.dentonbluegrass.com/farmpark/bluegrass/images/BGo8FlyerBack.pdf
We had a tremendous event this year. Even though the price of gas was around $4 a gallon, a lot of people came. We had 920 tractors, 755 engines and 97 antique cars - the largest number of antique cars we've ever had. The Ford Fordson Collectors' Association signed up more members here than they've ever signed up at one show!
Wow!
Our attendance was about the same as it always is, but the weather sure was better - particularly on the first couple of days. Oh, we had low humidity, gentle breezes and nice temperatures. The Fourth of July wasn't as hot as it typically is. We really had a good time this year. We hope you did too!
